CONSTRUCTION FOR GULU LOGISTICS HUB LAUNCHED
Gulu LC5 chairman Ojara Martin Mapenduzi in November 2019 during the launch of 18 roads constructed by Japan in Gulu Exports through the northern Uganda border are expected in the next 18 months when the construction of the Gulu logistics hub concludes. According to the Trade mark east Africa, Director Moses Sabiti the transport of cargo in the north has been difficult without a logistics hub and the facility will spur production and reduce transport costs for the business community to south sudan, DR Congo and beyond. After interacting with the residents of Layibi division and their leaders, Trade mark east Africa believes and the hub will spur production, employment and reduce transport costs for the businesses. The hub is also expected to help in the reinstatement of a railway network in northern Uganda.
